wedding trends

This year is going to be amazing and filled with 2024 wedding trends we love! With all the inspiration available at your fingertips through Pinterest and other sites, you have the power to create a truly unique vibe for your wedding. A big change the wedding industry has been seeing lately is the relinquish of traditions. Many weddings are becoming more of a curated experience for the couple to celebrate their styles with close family and friends, instead of integrating years of traditions that they may not feel a connection to.

This new outlook on weddings is opening the door for many new trends to enter the occasion! You’ve probably noticed a recent trend in past years of colored wedding dresses – this is one example of the many trends that are favored, and it’s not hard to see why. Uniqueness is in, and it’s invigorating!

Here are some of the top 2024 wedding trends we love and can’t wait to see in action:

Colorful Design

The wedding color of the year is Marseille Bleu (defined by The Minted + Brides). Inspired by mood boards, this and many other vibrant colors will be seen everywhere from the napkins to the florals in the wedding world in 2024.

Wedding Weekends

A wedding is a celebration of a lifetime commitment. And this year, many couples are embracing that fact and expanding their celebrations to a whole weekend instead of a single day. A “night before” party for the rehearsal dinner, a wedding day celebration, and a “farewell brunch” the next morning create a full weekend experience for couples and their guests.

Sustainability

Couples are becoming more and more aware of sustainable options for their wedding. Instead of filling their day (or weekend) with disposable décor, they’re opting to include beautiful aspects that are available for rent. Many companies are now expanding their offerings to include sustainable items.

Some trends are not going to be so prominent in 2024

With new trends emerging, some trends we’ve recently seen will not be as prominent in 2024. Some examples include:

  • Large Bridal Parties
  • Matching Bridesmaids’ Dresses
  • Traditional Cake Cutting
  • Bows

What do you think we’ll see more of in 2024?

With the ever-changing trends in the wedding world, it’s hard to predict all the ones that will emerge for this season (and future seasons). As for us, we can’t wait to see these trends this wedding season, and we hope that they will be here to stay! I mean, obviously we LOVE the sustainability trend, as Borrowed Somethings revolves around sustainable signage rentals.
